The Junior CMS touts many nifty features to make search engine optimization easier.
Other than getting zapped by Google's Penguin algorithm, moving from one content management system to another is the easiest way to destroy your link building efforts and Google PageRank.
But we won't stand for that! So we created a complete module that allows you to enter in all the URLs from your old website and redirect them to the URLs for your new website.
This is basically a 301 redirect file, but we store it in a database, and export it into the .htaccess file that Apache interprets.
We take care of the URL ReWriting code so you don't have to worry about it. But some of you guys out here probably want to include your own rewriting in the .htaccess file... don't worry, we've got you covered.
As part of the 301 module we also included a way to edit manual entries. Just click the "Edit .htaccess File" button and type away. You won't see the 301 redirect entries while you're adding your own code. Your changes will be added to the .htaccess file the next time you "Build Redirect File."
